Getting Ready to Test on Your Finger
1. Select an area to be lanced. Wash with soap & warm water, rinse & dry thoroughly.
2. Pull off end cap and push lancet firmly into holder.
3. Remove lancet top. Note: Save top for safe disposal of used lancet.
4. Replace end cap. Setting up TRUEdraw for Finger Testing
5. Turn depth dial to desired lancing depth. o 1-2 for soft / thin skin o 3-4 for average skin o 4-5 for thick / calloused skin
Note: Finer adjustments can be made by setting arrow on lancing device between numbers.
6. Lower hand to waist level. Gently massage finger to get blood flowing
7. Hold end cap in one hand & arming barrel in other. Gently pull arming barrel until a click is heard Using the TRUEdraw Lancing Device for Finger Testing
8. Place tip firmly against finger on other hand.
9. Press trigger button.
10. Gently massage finger from palm to fingertip to form blood drop Getting Ready to Test on Your Forearm
11. Select an area to be lanced. Wash with soap & warm water, rinse & dry thoroughly.
12. Pull off end cap and push lancet firmly into holder.
13. Remove lancet top.
Note: Save top for safe disposal of used lancet.
14. Replace end cap. Note: Use clear end cap for lancing forearm. Setting up TRUEdraw for Forearm Testing Use the clear end cap in place of regular depth dial end cap, but if clear end cap is not available, select #5 on the depth dial.
15. Rub area vigorously or apply warm compress to stimulate blood flow.
16. Hold end cap in one hand & arming barrel in other. Gently pull arming barrel until a click is heard Using the TRUEdraw Lancing Device for Forearm Testing
17. Place tip firmly against forearm.
18. Press trigger button.
19. Apply a firm pressure on the TRUEdraw lancing device until the correct amount of blood drop is formed.
